Art historian Soko Phay explores the notion of testimonial art through the paintings of S.21 survivor and artist, Vann Nath, the films of Rithy Panh, and the long-term collaboration of the two men. She discusses the centrality of the body in their work, as both a form of witnessing and a means of memory transmission.
